Diplomat, trade negotiator, corporate executive and humanitarian—few can match Laura Lane’s career trajectory, and her unique perspective on global trade today

Laura Lane is chief corporate affairs, communications and sustainability officer at UPS, overseeing public policy and government affairs, public relations, employee communications and the UPS Foundation. She began her UPS career in 2011 as president of global public affairs. Prior to joining UPS Ms Lane worked at Citigroup and Time Warner, and in the Office of the US Trade Representative, where she worked on the negotiation of China’s entry to the World Trade Organization. She served as a diplomat in the US Foreign Service from 1990-1997, in Bogota and Kigali. Ms Lane co-chairs the US President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa (PAC-DBIA).
