Until his appointment as Senegal’s Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation in 2019, Amadou Hott was vice-president of the African Development Bank’s Power, Energy, Green Growth and Climate Change Complex. He has 20 years’ experience in structured finance, sovereign wealth funds management, investment banking, infrastructure and the development of integrated energy solutions. Before joining the ADB Mr Hott worked for 15 years in investment banking and advisory services in New York, London, Dubai and Lagos. After returning to Senegal in 2012, he was a special advisor to President Macky Sall, chairman of Blaise Diagne International Airport, and founder and chief executive officer of Senegal’s sovereign wealth fund.
